JULIA GABALdóN - PRESIDENT/CEO
Julia Gabaldón is the Founding CEO of Quality New Mexico (QNM). In 1993 Julia received an assignment, while employed at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), to facilitate New Mexico's quality initiative. She gathered a group of volunteers to help design it from 'scratch'. As President/CEO she serves as an Officer on the QNM Board of Directors and Executive Committee. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for both the Alliance for Performance Excellence and ASQ (American Society of Quality). She has served on the Baldrige Board of Overseers; the Baldrige Board of Examiners; and as an Examiner for the U.S. President's Quality Award. Julia has produced/hosted radio and TV programs in English and Spanish. She hosts the Performance Excellence USA on 770 KKOB. She and her guests, from around the nation, showcase 'best practices'.
RETHA SHIPLET - COO/DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
Retha Shiplet serves as both the COO and Director of Programs. She is responsible for the overall operations of QNM. She also develops/designs training and coaching based on the Baldrige Framework and Criteria for Performance Excellence®, and as a member of QNM's training team she deploys workshops statewide. She conducts coaching and facilitation services, and is the Director of the New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards program. Born and raised in northern New Mexico she has a passion for helping rural New Mexico businesses and organizations. Retha is ia member of the leadership team for CPC's Celebrate Recovery and serves as the leader for the Life's Healing Choices program.
JUDI MEAD - PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
Judi Mead assists with Operations and Programs. She is responsible for coordination of the Examiner program and sets up and coordinates QNM’s various workshops. Judi also processes QNM’s payables and receivables and has an MBA in Finance.
LORI WILSON - ADMINISTATOR
Lori Wilson serves as Administrator for Operations and Programs. She coordinates program events including the annual Learning Summit. She has served as an Examiner for the QNM Board of Examiners. She holds a certificate in Continuous Quality Improvement and has experience administrating quality improvement programs for Albuquerque businesses. Lori is a Freelance Writer of niche fiction, extensive web content, and How-To eBooks primarily in the natural health genre.
