Path to Performance Excellence

"Since we have been involved in the Baldrige process, our growth and earnings have doubled from the previous five-year period...the application process itself is a model to improve quality."

— Bill Enloe,
CEO/Chairman of the Board
Los Alamos National Bank

Is your small or large business, education, health care, Government, or non-profit organization effective? Are your goals being met? Are your customers and Employees satisfied? Is your organization a model of Performance excellence?

These are some of the questions answered through the assessments available with Quality New Mexico and the New Mexico Quality Awards program. We offer several different third-party evaluations with Feedback Reports, based on where your organization is on the “journey” to performance excellence:

Adobe Assessment: "Building the Foundation"

Anything built to last needs a solid foundation, and that is the Adobe Assessment process. Who are your customers? What are they looking for? What are your key strategic challenges? What makes you more successful than your competitors? Complete an Organizational Profile, and then file an Adobe Assessment with QNM. Trained Examiners will return real information you can use right away to improve your operation.

Piñon Assessment - "Commitment - The Support". The next step is to identify the key pieces (processes and systems) committing your organization to work toward excellence. How are critical decisions made? How are your strategic challenges addressed? How do your customers communicate their level of satisfaction? Do you communicate with your customers? How well do you measure performance? Do you train your employees to be successful? A Piñon “Walk Through” evaluation on-site or applying for a Piñon Assessment with a written Feedback Report provide analysis to move your organization forward.

Roadrunner Assessment - "Progress on the Structure". Once the key processes and systems are up and running, the next step uses the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence to evaluate your position to achieve excellence. How thoroughly do you deploy the processes you’ve developed? How do you analyze and identify improvement opportunities? How are systems aligned to help achieve your goals? The Roadrunner Assessment gives back the evidence that you are building in the right direction – up!

Zia Assessment - "Attainment and Sustainability. Are all of your customers highly satisfied (not just your largest customers)? Have you effectively addressed your strategic challenges so they have minimal impact? Is your organization able to sustain its position even if senior management changes? Systems maturity, improvement sustainability, and review of your organization for achievement of performance excellence is the Zia Assessment.
