Quality New Mexico New Mexico
Excellence in Learning (NMEXL) Program
Who are we?
Quality New Mexico helps organizations throughout the state improve their performance through the use of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (Criteria). We are the official administrators of the New Mexico Quality Awards, which recognizes organizations that 1) commit to using quality principles, 2) improve their performance through analysis and assessment, and ultimately 3) achieve best-in-class performance results.
NMEXL is dedicated to facilitate improvements in the State’s educational system from the largest school district to the individual student by specifically showing them how the Criteria can be used as a framework for understanding and improving organizational performance.
What do we offer?
NMEXL offers school districts all of the current products and services that Quality New Mexico offers to each of its other customers including but not limited to:
- Mentorship and coaching on how to effectively use the Criteria,
- Training (either through public workshops or to individual customers) on the various aspects and principles of the Criteria,
- Assessments, including the assessments associated with the New Mexico Quality Awards, to provide organizations with an objective third-party view of their strengths and opportunities for improvement, and
- Participation in our annual Quality New Mexico conference, which allows organizations to share best practices and learn from those who have effectively used the Criteria around the State and the Nation to achieve best-in-class results.
How will we know that our products and services
are benefiting the State’s educational system?
As NMEXL works with particular schools and districts in the State, we will determine our effectiveness by improvements in the results YOU have designated as keys to success. Using the Criteria to achieve best-in-class results often takes ten years or so; but significant, measurable improvements that are clear to all stakeholders of our educational system can come in only one or two years. The key is to demonstrate accelerated progress towards excellence in learning at all levels – student, classroom, school, district, and State. That’s the goal we want to help you achieve.
