The New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards Program is underway. We are excited to announce the 2019 Examiners training is complete.
Quality New Mexico is pleased to announce that Shauna Frost has been chosen as the recipient of the 2019 Don Chalmers Passion for Excellence Award. The award is an annual award recognizing an individual, who exemplifies outstanding leadership in the pursuit of performance excellence and has furthered performance improvement beyond the boundaries of their organization. Shauna is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque. She joins past recipients Mike Sather (VA Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center in Albuquerque), Bill Wadt (Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation), and David Shaw (CEO of NorLea Hospital in Lovington).
Prior to becoming Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque, Shauna spent seven years with Don Chalmers Ford where she learned the value of using the Baldrige Framework to drive performance excellence. She has modeled that approach at Meals on Wheels. In her time as Executive Director, Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque she has been named a Non-Profit of the Year Nominee and a Best Place to Work. She is a 2016 recipient of the Albuquerque Business First Women of Influence Award for her work in advancing Meals on Wheels. Through her leadership, Meals on Wheels will receive the 2018 Roadrunner Recognition at the Quality New Mexico Learning Summit on April 30th.
Nominees for this prestigious award must demonstrate leadership behaviors and results consistent with Quality New Mexico’s Core Values (Integrity; Innovation & Agility; Customer Driven Excellence; Valuing Diversity, People and Relationships; Organization & Personal Learning; Continuous Improvement) and leadership behaviors (community involvement, corporate citizenship, economic development). They must also be willing to share their leadership practices as they relate to Quality New Mexico’s core values and leadership behaviors.
