Quality New Mexico 2008
Conference We are providing the following guidelines so that your company can present its ad in the most professional manner and make sure our 2008 program represents the quality that we all pursue in New Mexico. Please forward this to your ad agency or creative team and let them know this year's theme is "Beyond Success!" And thanks again for your contribution to Quality in New Mexico! Sizing Your Ad There are four ad sizes: full-, half-, quarter-. eigth-page. QNM will provide you with your allotted ad size. • Full-page - 7.25" x 9.75" (portrait) • 1/2 page - 4.75" x 7.25" (landscape) • 1/4 page - 3.5" x 4.76" (portrait) • 1/8 page - 2.25" x 3.5" (landscape) Ink Colors Please submit your ad as black and white line art or 256 grayscale. The program will be printed with the two colors described below. Your ad will be reproduced using a combination of both colors as a duotone. You may provide you prepared as duotone, or as black and white grayscale and QNM will convert your ad. QNM's ink colors:
Electronic Files Electronic files will be accepted for the QNM 2007 Conference Program. Please provide any electronic files on CD. If you are planning to provide us with electronic files, please make sure they are created and saved in compliance with the following guidelines: SUPPORTED File Formats We DO support the following file formats: • QuarkXpress (all versions for Mac & PC) • Adobe Pagemaker (versions 5, 6, 6.5 and 7 (we can NOT open versions 3.5 or 4 files) for Mac and PC • Adobe Illustrator (all versions) for Mac and PC • Adobe Photoshop (all versions) for Mac and PC • Macromedia Freehand for Mac and PC • Adobe Acrobat PDF files (must be set-up for printing) UNSUPPORTED File Formats We DO NOT support the following file formats: • ANY Microsoft product. This includes Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint. • Corel Draw, Paint, WordPerfect Adobe Persuasion and Microsoft Powerpoint (This software is for slide presentations. It will not run correctly to litho film used for printing.) • Deneba Canvas • Any Claris product. ClarisDraw, ClarisPaint, ClarisHomepage, etc. • JPEG, GIF, GIF89, CGM, WMF, PCX, PICT or PICT2, etc. (These file formats are not appropriate for print applications. Their embedded resolutions and color-models do not separate correctly and cannot be imaged to litho film used for printing) We Must have the native files: .ps (postscript), .pdf (Adobe Acrobat), .prn (PC PostScript) and .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) will not work without the files that create them because they cannot be imaged to litho film without the original files.) Camera-Ready Film Camera-ready film will be accepted for the QNM 2007 Program if prepared as a duotone. When having your film output, please make sure it is sized appropriately based on the guidelines above and that it meets the following: • Negative on film, emulsion down • 130 to 150 ln (line screen) • One or two colors?
